Daisuke Matsuzaka is on the fast road to recovery. His first stop on his rehab stint is Salem, where he will start for the Red Sox tonight. Last report on Dice-K during his extended workouts in Florida was positive and the power as well as the command was where it needed to be.
We are not sure the exact restriction on Matsuzaka for tonight, be we can assume the usual 2 inning outing for the first game back. A return could be weeks instead of months away.
I never thought I would say this, but I am looking forward to Dice-K's return.
