The Red Sox got their asses handed to them in a 2-game series in mid-April at Fenway. Texas embarrassed the Sox in game 1 with the 18-3 pounding and were less harsh in game 2 with the 6-3 victory over the Sox. Guess who the losing pitchers were in that series. I bet you guessed Lester and Beckett before you were done reading that sentence.

Laser Show: Adrian Gonzalez

Gonzalez is having a great second half. Gonzo is coming up big for the Sox as of late, the only problem is the starting rotation can't keep the game close. His .700 career batting average with 2 homers against Colby Lewis is another good reason for the selection

Pitch Around: Josh Hamilton & Adrian Beltre

There are some guys that need no explanation of why the Sox have to be extra careful when pitching to them. These two are definitely in that category.

Don't Fall Behind: Derek Holland

Holland is 3-1 with a 2.84 ERA against the Sox in his career. Aside from Jacoby Ellsbury and Nick Punto's matching .375 averages against Holland, no one else on the team has had success against him. Nick Punto is the only guy on the roster to hit a home run off of Holland. He pitched well in Boston in April and he will likely repeat that performance.

The Rangers have an advantage over the Sox in every category in this series. The Red Sox will get swept, beginning a week of disappointment.
