Jose Iglesias: Nothing, followed by nothing, followed by nothing, followed by a...holy s***, a home run! Where the hell did that come from? Not only that, he added a pair of singles. I wouldn't get too excited yet, that type of performance does normally happen overnight. It could be a fluke.
The Bench: There are going to be a lot of new names and we saw a few. Nothing stood out aside from Gomez going 1-for-1 with 2 RBI as a pinch hitter. Mike Aviles wasn't too bad as the third baseman last night.
Aaron Cook looked great on Monday night, going six strong and only allowing 1 run. Doubront looked to be improving, but the 5 walks may be due to his fatigue. Dice-K sucked, again. Clay Buchholz looked fantastic last night, but Andrew Bailey had to screw it up.
As previously mentioned, Andrew Bailey sucked. Forget about his save in game 2, last night's performance was horrible. There are plenty more names to add to the list, such as, Mark Melancon, Clayton Mortensen, Alfredo Aceves, Daniel Bard, Chris Carpenter, and Vicente Padilla. None of those names should surprise you, other than Bailey.
The Sox were looking pretty damn good in the first two, and they blew the rest of the series. That should have come to no surprise to anyone. At least they have lost a series in two consecutive series.
