This morning in talking about the Red Sox' possibility to trade Jacoby Ellsbury, I mentioned three options: keep him for his walk year, sign him long term, or trade him. According to Ken Rosenthal, the Sox are looking to pursue option number 1.
I can't say I blame them. His value is certainly down thanks to being hurt all year. Plus, as already discussed, he's a big revenue generator, and he's likely to have a huge year since he's playing for a contract. You know, as long as he doesn't twist his ankle in spring training and miss four months.
